Sam Akeroyd leaves Miners

The ex-Harrogate Railway midfielder made a real impact when he arrived at Cedar Ridge last October, scoring a spectacular goal on his debut against Winsford in the FA Vase. He went on to become a popular player amongst supporters for his composure on the ball and attacking mindset.

In total Sam made 38 appearances for the club (8 as a sub), scoring 8 goals. I'm sure other Garforth fans will join me in thanking him for his efforts and wish him well in the future.
