A tough evening for the Garforth Town youngsters against an older and competent Campion side. Garforth found it difficult to get a foothold in the match over the full 90 minutes and can have little complaints about the result. The Campion goals came from a variety of sources including short corners, deep corners, shots from the edge of the box from the player operating in the 'hole' and players getting 'in behind' from playing on the shoulder of the centre half. As always there were positives to be taken from the match with 16 year old Harrison Lightowler having a lively first half, 16 year old keeper Dan Booth producing a Garforth man of the match performance and 16 year old Nial O'Reagan (shown pictured) putting in a very good performance - a shame that Nial will be leaving the Garforth fold shortly to take up his contract with the Halifax Town Youth Team - all the best to him in his new venture. The youngsters now face table topping Harrogate Town at the Garforth Town Stadium this Tuesday 9th May and with 9 mainstay Garforth players scheduled to return to the starting line the u21 coaching staff are expecting a tight affair and will be aiming to claim the team's third 'scalp' of the season (that is beating a Club that operates in a higher division than us)..
