Raul Fletcher's stunning goal the 'icing on the cake' to another good Garforth Town Development Team performance!

Great game - well played by both sides. A host of talking points from the Garforth perspective - difficult to know where to start but here goes:
1. A poor Garforth warm up to my mind - too short and not enough focus. No surprise then that the boys were 2 goals down after 10 minutes (would have been 3 if the Tadcasater's player header from a corner which hit the bar had been a couple of inches lower).
2. The character shown by the Garforth boys - from 1 to 15 - to bounce back from being 2 goals down after 10 minutes and push on and win the match.
3. The stunning save made by talented young Garforth keeper Dan Booth to claw a shot out of the top corner - easily one of the best saves I have seen this season.
4. The maturity displayed by a team containing 9 x 16 or 17 year old lads in at what at times was a pressure cooker atmosphere.
5. The constant threat posed by the pacey Garforth striking duo of Seth Hartley and Harold Monkam - they never gave the Tadcaster defence a moment's peace.
6.The securing of the first win of the season which takes the boys off the bottom of the table.
7. The 'icing on the cake' stunning goal scored by midfielder Raul Fletcher. The score is 3-2 to Garforth approx 20 minutes into the 2nd half - Raul dispossess's a Tadcaster player of the ball approximately 25 yards from his own goal - he travels quickly with the ball some 30 yards just into the Tadcaster half and then shoots, from about 40-45 yards over the keeper. Stunning - 'a la David Beckham'.
8. A four goal performance from Raul Fletcher - and could easily have been 6 or 7!
