Garforth Town Goal Scorer: Curtly Martin-Wyatt
A tight first half. Ossett took the lead early in the first half with a great curled shot from the edge of the box. Garforth equalised some 20 minutes later when Raul Fletcher played Curtly Martin-Wyatt in behind with a clever flicked pass Curtly beat the keeper from the edge of the box via a deflection. Ossett had a penalty appeal turned down just before half time. The second half was also a tight affair up to Ossett scoring the second goal on 63 minutes. The goal epitomised the thin dividing line between success and failure. Jaydon Armstrong intercepted a poor Ossett pass and quickly tried to launch a Garforth Town counter attack but his attempted diagonal ball to Raul Fletcher was over hit and ran through to the keeper. The Ossett keeper immediately hit his own diagonal to one of his wide players creating an overload from which Ossett scored. Ossett scored a third shortly after when the Garforth defenders failed to deal with a long keeper kick and Garforth were thankful that their keeper Dan Booth stayed alert for the last 15 minutes or so.
