The youngsters pressed the self destruct button early in this match. A sloppy throw in their own third lead to a poor pass which led to an easy first goal for the visitors after just 7 minutes. Garforth failed to dig in quickly and stabilise thus allowing Tadcaster to score a second within a minute. 2-0 down after 8 minutes! Based on Opta premier league statistics Garforth's chances of winning the match would now be marginally higher than 2%! Further sloppy play let the visitors in two more times and with Garforth failing to convert 2 top chances falling to Fletcher and Gibrill Keating the home side returned to the dressing room 4-0 down. Normal service, thankfully, was restored in the second half with Garforth constantly probing Tadcaster with lovely patterns of play in the final third. Joe Colley scored a beauty driving in from 20 yards and tucking it past the keeper before hitting the crossbar minutes later with a long range effort. Substitute Finaly Bailey Hague was completely cleaned out in the penalty area - everybody thought so - oh, apart from the ref apparently. Great second half from the boys - showed excellent character and showed, despite their youth, just what a good side they really are.
