It was a game in which Town had goalkeeper Brendan Wood sent off after only 4 minutes, however Radcliffe themselves then had Shaun Connor sent off 10 minutes later. Town went ahead shortly afterwards through Adam Priestley but James Mullineux equalised for Boro just before the break.
In the second half substitute 'keeper Lee Kelsey brilliantly saved a Boro penalty after a Town player was adjudged to have handled the ball. The Miners put heavy pressure on the hosts after this point, playing some excellent football and came very close with a number of chances. Radcliffe had their own spell towards the end but couldn't find a winning goal, meaning both teams will have to try again on Tuesday evening.
This means Town's league fixture against Wakefield at home on Tuesday will be re-arranged. Town's opponents on the 30th Clitheroe were more successful in their FA Trophy tie today and are through to the next round which will be played on this date (hopefully the Miners will be joining them). Garforth's trip to Shawbridge has already been pencilled in for Tuesday 30th November.
