A superb team performance by Nostell resulted in a 6-1 victory at The Welfare Ground against an out of sorts Garforth Town side.
Following the victory against Athersley in the league, Paul Lines opted to field the same starting eleven with the hope they could manufacture another performance of a similar calibre.
Although Nostell started brightly, Wayne Ball denied a certain goal with a last ditch tackle to prevent Mark Simpson scoring for Garforth.
On 15 minutes, a 30 yard strike by captain Dave Bordman took a deflection and looped over the keeper to fire Nostell into an early lead.
From then on Nostell piled on more pressure and a mazy run by Anthony Doran ended with a cross, met by a header which was handled by Garforth defender Jack McCarthy. Rob Bordman scored the resulting penalty in spectacular fashion, placing it into the top corner.
The first half demolition job was completed on 30 minutes when R Bordman ran onto a ball and drilled it through Ben Hunter in the Garforth net to take Nostell into a three goal lead.
Garforth were gifted a life line when Greg Porter picked up two yellow cards for reckless tackles in two minutes and was sent off by referee Alan Hill. Following the dismissal Garforth piled on the pressure and headed into the second half with high hopes of turning the tie around.
After the half time interval, Garforth came out of the blocks flying and didn't allow Nostell to get out of their own half and they were rewarded on 50 minutes when a dangerous cross was headed home by C J Lyle. Moments later Nick Black tore through the defence and was unfortunate to see his shot hit the crossbar.
The game was put to bed on 61 minutes. R Bordman crossed for Doran who controlled the ball and then laced it into the corner with his left foot, giving the keeper no chance of making a save.
Ste Wales got on the score sheet four minutes later. Doran waltzed past the Garforth defence and laid the ball on a plate for Wales who finished from a few yards out.
R Bordman got his hat-trick on 84 minutes as he smashed the ball home. Garforth's afternoon was made worse as Jack McCarthy was sent off for a foul on Wales in the dying seconds of the game.
