Defender Dan Turley is the latest to leave the club, his destination unclear at the time of writing.

Whilst probably not being amongst Garforth's better known players he has been involved with the club since 2006; so one of our most loyal. Especially considering his appearances for the first team not being as numerous as he probably would've liked. Over the last couple of seasons he was used mainly as cover for injured defenders and proved to be a very solid stand-in. Sadly I don't have his total appearances but since August 2010 he made the field 18 times.

Dan left the following message:

"I just wanted to let you know I too have left Garforth. Garforth has been a huge part of my life for a near 7 years now with my first appearance being for the under 19s in the FA Youth cup against Halifax Town in 2006. I have been a member of the senior team now for the last 3 years and have enjoyed a west riding cup win and been part of the squad which achieved our highest finish last season. I have throughly enjoyed my time at Garforth and have an enormous amount of respect for the club supporters and players and want to thank them all for there continued support as well as Steve ,Rich and V for everything they have done for the club and for myself. Garforth will always remain in my heart."

Again I'm sure other Garforth fans will join me in thanking Dan for his time at the club and his part in last season's achievements. Also thanks to those players leaving messages, their consideration for Town supporters is currently putting those still in charge of the club to shame. We're all waiting......
