Last weekend Garforth guaranteed a playoff place with victory at Bottesford.
Rossingtons draw at Tadcaster yesterday means that The Miners are now assured of a top three finish, which also means a home tie at the Bannister Prentice Stadium in the playoff semi-finals.
Garforth can still finish second if they get a better result than Campion in the *last round of league games (a draw would be enough if Campion lose. If Campion draw, a win for Garforth would seal second spot).
The final will be played at the home of the finalist that finished higher in the league.
Current standings are
1 - Emley (promoted)
2 - Campion p37 pts73 gd35
3 - Garforth p37 pts72 gd54
4 - Rossington p37 pts69 gd21
5 - Albion Sports p38 pts67 gd18
--------------------------------------------------------
6 - Thackley p36 pts60 gd7
7 - Penistone p35 pts58 gd15
Thackley can't reach a playoff place, but if Penistone win their three remaining games, they'll leapfrog Albion Sports for the final spot.
The provisional date for the playoffs are :
Semi-finals - Saturday 20th April
Final - Saturday 27th April
Because Penistone have their final league game scheduled for 23rd April, these dates could possibly change (if Penistone are still in contention for a playoff spot by then).
* At the time of writing Garforths' postponed match at Eccleshill and Campions home game against Thackley have yet to be re-scheduled.
