Spennymoor finished champions of the Northern League Division 1 (a division below Town) last season with 103 points. The Moors also knocked us out of the FA Cup at Brewery Field back in 2007-08, so a good first test for the Town players.

A provisional list of clubs making up the Evo-Stik Division 1 North for 2011-12 was released by the FA last month and can be found here (pdf file): http://www.thefa.com/Leagues/NationalLeagueSystem/NewsAndFeatures/2011/~/media/Files/PDF/Leagues/NLS/NLSRestructuring201112.ashx/NLSRestructuring201112.pdf . Allocations are subject to confirmation at the Evo-Stik AGM on the 18th June. League fixtures are normally announced around this date, the league season is expected to start on Saturday 13th August.

The draws for the FA Cup and FA Trophy are understood to be taking place in late June/early July with Town most likely starting in the Preliminary Round on Saturday 3rd September.
