Golcar came out on top despite a spirited late Garforth fightbackback , but a 3-0 defecit proved just too much to overcome.
Bouyed by a partisan home crowd, the home side raced to an eight minute lead through prolific front man George Doyle.
A defensive error gave Garforth chance to level up, but Sam Cables left foot shot lacked the power to trouble Sam Kelly in the Golcar goal.
The home side doubled their lead on ninetween minutes, when a free-kick was nodded into the path of Lee Bradshaw, who tucked the ball past Harry Flatters.
Sam Barker twice came close to reducing the deficit. Steven Jeff whipped an inviting ball across the goalmouth , but Barker was inches away from connecting. Then a cute pass by Ejupi gave hime the opportunity to shoot from inside the area, but the tight angle was against him.
Things got worse for Town on sixty two minutes. Nicky Clee stepped up to convert a free-kick into the bottom corner, putting Golcar into a comanding three goal lead. Soon after it could easily have been four. A shot from inside the box was dragged wide.
Matt Antcliff sparked hope for the handful of visiting fans, when he followed up after a save by Kelly, sliding in to prod the ball home.
Alex Zachariou came close to adding a quick second goal for Town.
Substitute Lee Turner kept his calm to turn and convert a low left-footed shot on ninety minutes, giving the Miners hopes of an epic comeback. Unfortunately it wasn't to be though, as the home side saw out the final four added minutes.
